In 2024, COREY delivered a customized JBT40-8-72 concrete mixer pump for a customer project in Romania. Because the project site was far from the point of origin, transportation planning became a major factor in controlling the customer’s total cost. The final logistics plan combined container transport with transfer-barge handling through Nanhai Port, creating a more practical route for the long-distance delivery.
Project Background: The customer needed a compact concrete mixing and pumping solution that could be transported efficiently and moved conveniently after arrival. The long route and multiple transport stages made packaging, container planning, and road-compliance details especially important. Customized Solution: COREY developed a tailored delivery and equipment configuration based on the customer’s operating and transportation requirements. To better match European road-use expectations, rear tail lights were added to the equipment. This modification improved visibility during movement and made the trailer-mounted unit more practical for relocation between working areas. Logistics Adjustment: The customer also purchased an additional container for its own use. This change was incorporated into the shipping plan, allowing the equipment and supporting items to be organized more efficiently for the transfer through Nanhai Port and the onward journey to Romania. Project Result: The JBT40-8-72 was prepared, inspected, and arranged for export in 2024. The completed solution balanced equipment mobility, European road considerations, and the cost of a complex international transport route. This successful case demonstrates how early coordination between equipment design and logistics planning can reduce avoidable costs and support a smoother delivery.
